Marrakech Menara Airport information
Marrakech Airport information
Marrakech Menara Airport is located about 20 minutes drive from the centre of Marrakech, depending upon traffic conditions. Currently, all flights arrive at Terminal 1, which is a large, modern terminal offering a good level of services for those passengers arriving to and departing from Marrakech.
The Airport has a large Car park just outside the main terminal.

Arriving at Marrakech Menara Airport
Taking an international flight to Marrakech Airport, you will arrive at the international section and will have to pass through immigration and customs.
Because Marrakech airport is a fairly small affair, there’s no posh walkways directly from the door of the plane to the Airport, so, expect to take a short walk across the tarmac to the entrance of the arrivals terminal. Once in the terminal, you will pass though immigration, collect your luggage and pass through customs prior to getting to the main Airport hall for the exit.
Marrakech Airport offers a range of services for the traveler and is laid quite nicely. Navigating the airport is fairly easy with good signage in English and other languages. Services include Banks, currency exchange and ATM’s in the main terminal hall, Shops and Café’s seating areas, Car hire desks from the main car hire agencies and some local agencies too. Smoking at Marrakech Airport is only allowed outside the front of terminal, or, when departing on an international flight, in the smoking sections of the departure gates.

Airlines service Marrakech Menara Airport
The most frequently used Airlines which fly in and out of Marrakech Airport include RyanAir, Easyjet, Vueling, Transavia, Iberia, and Royal Air Maroc.
Royal Air Maroc is also the national Airline flying to other cities within Morocco. Ryan Air seems to have a “On / off” relationship with Morocco, changing their routes frequently, and falling out with the Moroccan Airport authority a few times over the past years, and having aspirations for internal flights, perhaps between Marrakech and Fes at some time in the future.
Marrakech Airport serves an ever growing range of destinations to fly to and from. The most widely used routes include European destinations such as Paris, London, Rome, Madrid and many other cities in most European countries. Other routes include Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah on a seasonal basis. Cities served further afield usually involve a flight from Marrakech to Casablanca Airport, where a plane change is usually required to reach the onward destinations worldwide including USA, Other African and Middle-eastern countries, South America and Asia.

Does Marrakech Airport have Wifi on arrival?
Marrakech Airport offers free Wifi upon arrival. The Wifi is quite good. However, we find that it is good enough for activities such as messaging on What’s app, but not usually sufficient for making calls over Wifi.
So if you need to message your Airport transfer driver via whatsapp, it’s possible to do this without incurring any roaming fees or international phone call charges.
